Physical Therapy
I have developed a niche specializing in physical therapy for the dance athlete, with a strong passion for working with runners, dancers, fitness athletes, and individuals with chronic pain. I earned my Bachelor of Health Sciences degree with a minor in dance from Chapman University. While completing my Doctor of Physical Therapy, I gained valuable exposure to performing arts rehabilitation by studying with an Australian physiotherapy clinic that serves the Queensland Ballet and Queensland Symphony Orchestra. After my love for the outdoors brought me to Salt Lake City, Utah, I have had opportunities to provide treatment for the Velocity Dance Convention, Live Nation artists, and multiple local races, while also partnering with local dance studios to educate and assess dancers. Over the past several years, I have obtained certifications in dry needling and myofascial decompression, along with the Fitness Athlete Certified Specialist and Pelvic Certified Specialist credentials through the Institute of Clinical Excellence. I currently serve as a research physical therapist at the University of Utah and am a part owner of Pure Performance Rehab. In addition to my clinical work, I aid and lead instruction for Pure Performance Rehab’s Dry Needling Upper and Lower Quarter courses, contributing to the education and development of other clinicians. My mission is to better fortify my patients against injury so they can pursue their passions for a lifetime. Outside of the clinic, I can be found investing time in many extra-curriculars that I love but am only moderately good at: running, dancing, mountain biking, skiing and CrossFit.
